Amelia Earhart was a pioneer pilot, she was known as the best aviator of her time. She was a daring, skillful, and courageous woman. Amelia broke many flight records of speed and distance. One of her greatest achievements was in 1932, when she became the first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. The triumph across the Atlantic made her world-famous. Amelia continued to use her aviation skills to break limits and set records. She succeeded in a time when people believed that piloting was only for men, but Amelia proved that female pilots were just as capable and courageous. During her life, which was tragically cut short, Earhart was also a social worker, wrote best-selling books, and helped design a line of clothing, worked as an educator, and in all of her pursuits worked hard to promote the rights of girls and women.
