Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881), was a British Prime Minister, parliamentarian, Conservative statesman and writer. He invented a new genre of writing - the political novel, of which Sybil and Vivian Grey are perhaps the best-known today. His novels are romantic and political in nature. His books give a great deal of political insight, such as describing the waning of the Whigs and the Tories and the early beginnings of the Conservative party. His political group is described, Young England, who hoped for an alliance of the nobility and the common people.
