Columbo, the rumpled television detective, appeared in more than 40 made for television features between 1971 and 1978. The character was originally seen in a telefeature in 1960, played by character actor Bert Freed. Then, in 1968, Columbo was brought back for a pilot film. It was 1971 however, when the series that we all know and love got fully underway. This book is the first attempt to document the episodes during the 1971-78 seasons, which was otiginally seen on Sunday evenings. There are complete cast and directorial credits, original air dates, numerous photographs, and story synopses included.
