Inspired by true events, in 1994, we follow Jackie Neilsen as she navigates life after being wronged by an acquaintance. She is strong, independent, and determined to get justice, which leads her to Sam, a member of a well-known motorcycle club.Jackie is captivated by his tough-guy image and the mystery surrounding it, and he in turn, is attracted to her. Thus a relationship unfolds, one that immerses her into a world unfamiliar. As a new life style develops so do additional problems, throwing her into a five-year whirlwind that takes her on a roller-coaster journey. While she struggles to come to terms with the hand she's been dealt, and the choices she's made, we see their very different backgrounds come into play. Sometimes they appear as opposites, other times they seem very much the same; both with quirks, and both juggling what they have to in order to get through this thing called life.
