Coastguard Summers finds himself having to close the beach after a flock of killer seagulls invade it, killing two men and attacking the boyfriend of Alice, whose quick thinking may well have saved her boyfriend's life. During the story, Coastguard Summers meets Amber, who has become separated from her parents, and only knows the way back to her hotel because she remembers there being a statue of a seagull outside it. Melanie and Melissa add to the adventure by not exactly being equipped for a quick exit from the beach when the seagulls invade.
