James is finally on the verge of finding the lost temple of Zerin, a fabled home of the Priestesses of Zerin. While his wife, Elle, works on a nearby dig site, James leads his expedition, including his second in command, Scott, into the dry wastes to continue his search. Finding a mysterious temple, James ventures inside to discover a magical oasis under an otherwise barren world. As they descend into the caverns, James discovers new clues as to Scott's relationship with his wife. They discover a bizarre idol which holds an ancient supernatural power that will change them both forever.
