This is the uplifting story of the spiritual transformation of Bellavista prison in Medellin, Colombia, once one of the bloodiest and most violent in the world. In 1989, a riot broke out that would certainly have ended in a massacre if the warden had bowed to public pressure and ordered a military takeover. Instead he gave permission to Oscar Osorio, a former inmate and now volunteer chaplain, to hold a prayer meeting inside Bellavista's walls. An incredible moving of the Spirit of God literally quenched the rioting. Prisoners surrendered their weapons to Osorio and his small band of Christian inmates and joined them in prayer and worship.
