will.i.am is a multi-faceted entertainer, innovator, and seven-time Grammy Award winner. Known for his work with The Black Eyed Peas, who have sold 31 million albums worldwide, he is also an enthusiastic user of technologies. Intel Corporation appointed will as Director of Creative Innovation in 2011, where he met Brian David Johnson. will.i.am advocates the importance of education through his i.am.angel foundation. He has also created i.am.STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math), an initiative to provide under-served students with learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Johnson holds over 30 patents and is the author of both science fiction and fact books. He has directed feature films and is an illustrator and commissioned painter.
