Tonyia Madison a Bed Stuy Brooklyn native; raised by a single mother; the middle child and only girl of 3 siblings. She shares her story through complete transparency allowing her readers a glimpse of what it is to be an innocent child coming in contact with the woes of living in an underserved community, being raised by a single mother with limited income, and the challenging behaviors induced by trauma that will lead her on the path to nowhere; until she becomes a mother then realizes that for her son's sake she has to heal and move past the experience of sexual abuse, self-abuse, self-loathing, depression, suicidal ideations, and attempts.Tonyia sets out to reconnect with the child of her past, make amends with herself, learns to love and value herself and her life.
