When Samantha, a teenager who dreams of becoming an author is invited to her uncle's island mansion to participate in a game with a group of celebrities, she is somewhat hesitant. Her uncle, Augustus Trevor, a mean-spirited novelist, has written a manuscript revealing the deep, dark secrets of his famous houseguests. The celebrities are told to participate in a game, with the winner being allowed to have their secrets removed from the manuscript. When Trevor is bludgeoned to death, however, the rules of the game change completely and Samantha is forced to participate. The Name of the Game Was Murder is an exciting, fast-paced mystery that finds Samantha and the others trapped on Trevor's island with an impending storm and no telephone contact to the mainland. Now they must all work together to find the manuscript and uncover the killer before the game eliminates even more players.
