After receiving a request from his mysterious uncle Hermitus to come and look after his house, Barnabas sets off to the quiet little town of Rickmansworth. It might have been the perfect place to cure him of his writer's block if it wasn't for a zombie outbreak, an alien invasion and his uncle Hermitus turning out to be a rather aged intergalactic Indiana Jones who has stolen the most sought after artefact in the entire universe. Fortunately for our hapless hero there's Ipso, a geeky librarian who turns out to be a kick-ass zombie slaying cyberpunk and his uncle's barmy next door neighbour, Sheila, a cigar smoking eighty year old with all the killing skills of Rambo and a vocabulary to match. Along with a ragtag band of survivors, Barnabas and Ipso battle invading aliens and the undead while racing to find the Omega, the passport to beyond the universe. Apart from their daring quest which will take them across the galaxies there's also the little matter of saving a technicoloured cat called Patchwork and falling in love. Less
